Eeshani Chakraverty, Head of India Operations
Eeshani Chakraverty is the newly appointed Head of the India Operations of Positive Outcomes,
Inc. and has been under Laxmiís clinical supervision since 2011.
Eeshani has a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Delhi and was trained at VIMHANS, Delhi,
India. She received hands on training for working with patients in the In-Patient and Out-Patient Departments as well as the Day Care facility and
Child Guidance Clinic. She started her professional career as a lecturer in Psychology for undergraduate courses at the University of Calcutta.
Since her real interest lay in clinical practice, in order to gain further expertise in clinical assessments and therapy, she went on to do her M.
Phil in Medical and Social Psychology from The Central Institute of Psychiatry at Ranchi, India. During the course of the M.Phil program she was
trained in Psychodiagnostics and Psychological Therapies and worked with various populations, under supervision.
In Mumbai, she worked with a couple of Child Development Centers before beginning her own practice in 2007. She has also been a guest
faculty for Early Childhood Care and Education program.
Eeshani has been awarded the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) by the University Grants Commission of India (UGC) and has a few
publications in Indian psychological journals.
Eeshani believes that any one particular theory or approach cannot cover the entire range of complexities in human beings; hence she adopts an
eclectic approach in understanding and intervening with various issues that one faces. She likes working with families in totality and is a firm
believer that one cannot separate the individual from the family in the transformation process.
Currently, Eeshani has a private practice in Mumbai and lives with her husband and two daughters.
